GHTECH
Who we are
GHTech Inc. serves as a software and curriculum development company that builds at the intersection of technology and social justice.
We're a team of Black and Brown engineers, designers, social scientists, and educators who bring unique perspectives and lived experiences.
We have a deep understanding of how social and psychological factors influence technology adoption, engagement, and its impact on marginalized communities.
We build software solutions and culturally responsive STEM curricula to promote digital equity.
Inspired by THE future, Rooted in the Present
We use our skills to build software solutions and culturally responsive STEM curricula to promote digital equity.
Founded in 2017
A curious 16 year-old left his program at Google's HQ to build an organization to close the digital divide, and provide access to culturally responsive STEM programs.

Lecture Series

Black Creativity and Hacktivism
In partnership with Reddit and The University of Cambridge ThinkLab, CEO George Hofstetter and our team delivered lectures on disruptive innovation and social justice across 9 HBCUs, donating nearly $20,000 in funds and tech resources to each campus community.
This Black Creativity and Hacktivism series culminated in a Juneteenth Tech Summit in Oakland, designed to spark curiosity, inspire courageous dialogue, and strengthen communities through powerful cross-cultural conversations.

Designing for Radical Change
Powered by Stanford University's d.school and GHTech, this series built community among Black and Brown founders whose organizations disrupted traditional education, technology creation, and the digital divide.
Students engaged with BIPOC changemakers who embodied our themes, exploring their motivations, societal impact, and opportunities for contribution.
Up to Code Academy

Digital Divide Vol.1
With the generous support from Capital One and One Bay Creative, our introductory program comprises three units and nine compelling video-based lessons.
Each unit builds upon the previous ones and explores the larger social and cultural context needed to begin addressing the root causes of the digital divide.
Community Driven Tech Solutions
Collective Problem-Solving
Founded by George Hofstetter at the age of 16, who embarked on this journey after gaining valuable experience at Google. His vision for GHTech is ambitious yet essential: to revolutionize access to quality STEM education, close the digital divide, and empower underserved communities around the world.
